Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The Accounting Supervisor ensures the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company’s financial records while providing day‑to‑day leadership to the accounting team. This role combines hands‑on technical work with team oversight in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight, coaching, and performance feedback to accounting staff.
• Maintain the monthly close calendar, ensure timely journal entries, account reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and department‑level reports.
• Analyze financial results, support variance analysis, and assist FP&A activities.
• Assist with annual audits, act as liaison for external auditors, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience leading an accounting team and managing workload priorities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and data‑integrity controls.
• Ability to produce accurate financial statements and support strategic decision‑making.
